SHE'S HERE!!!

Brystal Lynn Bennett has finally arrived! She was born on Saturday October 27th at 2:12. She weighed a little tiny 6 pounds even, and 20 and a half inches long with loads of long brown hair. I was so excited to hear that she had hair.

I woke Friday morning around 6:30 with some strange feelings. I didn't know what to think about them until they kept coming every 5 to 10 minutes. I called Nate to come home from work and we spent the whole day watching movies and going for walks. The contractions were getting worse, but they weren't getting regular, so I didn't dare to try and go to the hospital and get sent home. I spent the rest of the day and the rest of the night in agony with contractions every 5-7. I was up all night sleeping for about 4 minutes, and then waking up with a contraction. Finally at 6 the NEXT morning, I told Nate to get up because I couldn't take it anymore, and I felt like 24 hours of contractions 7 minutes apart was something to not be taken lightly. So we went in, I was already dilated to a 4 and quailified for the epidural!! Yeah!! So I got the epidural, and coasted along and dilated to a 10 within 6 hours, pain free. Then, suddenly the eipdural decided to stop working on my left side and back. I was dying, luckily it was time to push. 20 minutes later, we had a little baby in our arms. She is just perfect, and healthy with no problems. We are so happy and blessed that everything went so perfect! I loved the experience (ok, so spending a whole 24 hours at home in pain wasn't so fun) the whole experience was better than I ever imagined. And now we are home, and trying to figure everything out. I'm feeling pretty good, just a little soar, but it is all worth it. Brystal is very good baby so far. We will keep you all posted. I'm sorry this has taken me so long to get up.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRYSTAL!

GRANDMA TIME!

Grandma Wood came from Utah to help out. So far we are having alot of fun and grandma just loves her. She is teaching me the ropes of motherhood.

I think Brystal likes Grandma too.

WHERE IS BABY?

Where is Brystal?

Is she in her swing?

Is she in her carseat?

She's not in her stroller...

Is she sleeping in her crib?

Here she is!!! She is still floating around inside of me, making me miserable. I am now 40 weeks, and I am so anxious and tired of waiting. But as long as she is happy I guess that is what matters. She better have a pretty good excuse for what is taking her so long when she gets here though. If she doesn't come on her own by this week, we will be induced on Halloween. So keep checking, I'm sure it won't be long before she makes her big debut. We are both very excited to see her so we just want this to be done. My mom will fly down here as soon as she hears we are headed to the hospital, so we are excited to have her come down and help, and Nate is excited to have a couple weeks off of work, and I'm just excited to not be huge anymore, and to see our little baby.

SNEAK PEEK

Well I'm still here, and I'm still pregnant. I've got one more week till the big day so really it could be any moment now. I am getting more excited as each day goes by even though it doesn't seem real that it is so close. But I am also very scared at the same time. I just hope that I can be the mom I always wanted to be, and that I'll know what to do. I keep getting nervous about going into labor or my water breaking in public and all sorts of things. I should really stop scaring myself half to death.
I am pretty sure everything is ready. We've got the room ready and our bags are pretty much packed. It is hard to plan for something like this. You have no clue when or where it is going to happen but you know it is coming. It is like waiting for Christmas, but you don't know what day Christmas will be. And how can you prepare for something like childbirth knowing that you have to do it and you know that it is going to be the worst pain that you will ever experience in your life, but you don't know what it is going to be like? These are just a few of the questions I freak myself out with. But I just hope and pray that no matter what we will have a healthy baby.
So here is a sneak peak of little Brystal before she comes to the world. We got this ultra sound 2 weeks ago, they are in 3D so you can kinda see what she might look like. Just so you know. I like the bottom one the most. the top one makes her face look a little smashed, but I'm sure she'll be cute no matter what.

THE BABY ROOM

So I finally managed to get the baby room pretty much done, the only thing missing is a little window curtain which I'm still trying to find one that will work for this window. But I thought I'd give a little preview of what I have done so far. Now all we need is a baby to put in it!
Cute built in shelves
The crib.
The chair that Nathan picked out. He said as long as he was going to be sitting with the baby, it might as well be a comfortable chair, and it very much is.
