WHATS NEW IN DENVER

Well it's been awhile since I've updated, lets just start off where we are right now. We've been really busy here in Denver finding new things to do and what awesome things there is to do in Denver. This is a view of the city with the mountains in the background taken from the Museum.
We live just meer blocks away from the museum of Nature and Science, so we have a pass which lets us go there whenever we want! Brystal loves the space section the most because they have a little play space ship where you can dress as an astronaut, run the ship, and even hunt for moon rocks.

Hunting for moon rocks

When it snows we try to get out and enjoy it. Everytime it snowed Brystal would always ask if there was enough snow to build a snowman, so this time when there finally was, I took her out to build the biggest snowman she had ever seen because after all, I am a pro. Well it turns out, I'm not a pro. The snow was way to soft this day and Icouldn't get it to stick together for the life of me. This was the best I could come up with. Blueberries for eyes and buttons and a carrot nose. Brystal doesn't know the difference, she was just excited to build a snowman.

Within a week or so of a major snowstorm, it usually clears up and melts and we have had amazing weather. We've taken advantage of this weather and hit the mountains. We found a great trail called Red Rock Trail which was great for the whole family! The kids had a blast.

Here is the view from the start of the trail.

I wasn't sure if Boston was going to like sitting in this thing, but he just sat there the whole time taking in the surroundings. He was quite the trooper.

There were many places to stop and climb on rocks so this is where Brystal and I had the most fun finding holes in the rocks and exploring.

We did let Boston out for a little while. He was so cute to stop and look at every little branch and bush.

At the beginning of the trail Brystal was a little nervous to do this on her own but by the end of the hike, she was an expert explorer, here she is walking down a hill after I taught her to bend her knees and creep down.

The weather has been so great that we try to get out and find new parks. The kids are really enjoying the parks here and we love to just get out.
Over the last weekend, we decided to pack a lunch and go find another park. This is Washington Park which is a huge park with lakes and trails and a playground that is in a cute little urban neighborhood. This seemed to be the happening park, there were runners, bikers, dogs, and everything else you'd expect to see in Colorado. We ate our picnic here at the table and soon squirrels started coming from everywhere to beg for food. When we started feeding them, the word got out and soon the geese showed up too.
So far we are really enjoying the great outdoors here in Colorado and are so excited to learn and do new things here. Boston and Brystal are learning to how to explore and learn about the things around them.
