Did I mention that Brystal is a Monster? Well she is, and she is a pretty mean sounding one. She growls and roars at us whenever we growl at her. She is really scary. But her growl is bigger than her bite.

A DAY AT THE AQUARIUM
Can you tell by the look on her face that she is about to have a really fun day? Well we did. We went to the Downtown Aquarium which is really right in the middle of downtown Houston. I've always wanted to go there. They had much to do, a train ride, a ferris wheel, a merry go round, and of course fish. And for some random reason, a tiger. Anyways, it was a hot day, but we did all the outdoor stuff first, had lunch and went in to enjoy the fishies. I will definitely bring her here again when she gets older and cares a little bit more about what we were doing, but for the most part, I think she thoroughly enjoyed herself.
Here we are on the little ferris wheel ride. This is my friend Sarah and another one of Brystal's many suiters, Ryan who is just 6 weeks younger than her.
Here is the view of part of downtown Houston from the top of the ferris wheel. I think Nate works in one of the buildings behind these ones. I waved to him.
Here are my attempts to get a good shot of Brystal and I with a cute smiley Brystal...
Um nope nope
nope and nope.
Well she was very excited about the train ride, she thought it was very interesting. Here she is clapping for joy.
On the train, they stop the train dead in it's tracks and lock you up in this tunnel of sharks. It was really neat to have sharks swimming above you and on all sides, it was like we were swimming with them. Then they told us that one of their great white's had escaped during the last flood they had here and to keep your eye out for it. Then as the train ride kept going around little bushes and swamps and such, a HUGE great white shark comes bursting out of the little pond next to us and nearly made me wet my pants. Of course it was fake you guys, do you really think a great white shark would burst out of a little pond. Well, neither did I, not till after I nearly wet my pants anyways.
For some reason at the aquarium they have a tiger show, a WHITE tiger show....oooooo, ahhhh. Anyways, it was so packed I was standing in this corner next to a statue of a tiger head coming out of the wall and sat Brystal next to it, but she thought it was real, and was kinda scared. I probably would be crying too, what a mean mom Brystal has.
END OF A LONG DAY
Here is Brystal after a long sweaty day at the aquarium. Her favorite part of the day. I just took the pigtails out and so her hair is just sticking straight up.

BRYSTAL DOESN'T LIKE GRASS
This was Brystal's first experience sitting on grass. She wasn't too sure about it at first. She couldn't put her foot down on the grass because it bothered her too much. After a little while she ended up really liking the grass.

OUT OF TOUCH
We apologize for our abscense for over a month now. Things have been really crazy here. We moved for one thing. Then my Mom and Sister came to visit for a week to watch Brystal so that I could go to girl's camp for a couple of days, and then the day after they left, I flew out to Utah and was met up by Nate a couple days later where we just spent the last 2 1/2 weeks. It has been so much fun to see family and friends. We went to Park City, the Zoo, had a big 4th of July party with all my cousins, went to parades and firework shows, went to Lava Hot Springs with Nathan's sister and her kids, and then finished off the trip with a few days in Bear Lake. Phewf! It was a fun filled trip and we had a great time. And Brystal did so well and just got cuter while we were there. She is almost 9 months old now and has such a personality. I just wish I had a video camera on her all the time to catch all the funny things she does now. So prepare yourselves my friends this is a long long update of pictures, and there are more to come. I have lots to update!
PLAYING IN THE GRASS
Brystal's first time playing in grass. She was a little hesitant at first, she really didn't like the feeling of it, but soon got used to the soft Utah grass. She probably won't get to do too much rolling around in the grass here, it just isn't the same.
PARK CITY
We got to spend a day in Park City and do the Alpine Slide at the ski resort.
Then my parents were kind enough to take Brystal for the night and Nathan and I got to spend the night in Park City by ourselves. It was our first time out overnight without Brystal. We had a really great time shopping at the outlet mall, and going down the Alpine Slide and coaster. Here is the view from the top of the slide. You can't really see it because Nate's head is in the way. But it was really pretty.

THE ZOO!
We spent the day at the Hogle zoo with my brother and his kids. Brystal didn't really care too much, but she was still a good baby and enjoyed herself. Here she is sitting on the gorillas lap.
Don't eat me little Lion!
Under the big elephant
4th of JULY
Taking a drink as we wait for the parade.
A little weery about the fire engines at the parade, but seemed to really like watching the parade.
Playing with her cousin Lilie
First time seeing fireworks. She was mesmerized by them.
VISITS WITH FAMILY
We got to spend a few days with my brother Dusty and his wife Hilary and Jaxon and Lilie. I was really sad when they left. I hardly get to see them. This was the first time they had seen Brystal. We had alot of fun together while they were here.
BEAR LAKE
Well we had our annual Bear Lake trip with our friends the Wegeners, they Hyldahl's and the Gutke's. Once again it was a success. Andi and I both have had baby's since last year so this year was a little more interesting than last year. But more fun in my opinion.
Every morning we would wake up to a refreshing game of tennis and if you want to see some good tennis shots of us you will have to check out the Gutke's blog, they got all the action. We set up a little tent area for the babies to play next to the tennis court and they just sat there and played so nicely together the whole time. We would take turns sitting out and watching them. It was so nice that they behaved well so we could get our game of tennis in. I wonder what next year will be like when they are walking around. We might have to work something out.
No way am I getting in that water!!!
Here is a little sand monster that was there on the beach, notice the little man clamped down in his mouth.
Is there anything in this world cuter than this?
BEACH FUN!
Oh Boy! I'm So excited
Feeling sand for the first time. She loved it. She would squish it and then pick it up and throw it in the air. It wasn't really funny when she was getting sand in everyone's eyes.
Ready for my close up!
Someone is having a good time! Hangin out with her old friend Jack is always exciting. "oh Jack, your so funny"
I think she could get used to this.
Brystal went for a little dip in the lake. It was cold but she liked it.
Though the Wegeners aren't in this picture We all had a great time together at Bear Lake together, and yes this is pretty much the best picture we could get of all of us. Andi wouldn't cooperate in any of them, so I just tried to get one good one of the rest of us. Ha ha!
