ANNIVERSARY 2010

7 Years ago Nate and I were married in the Bountiful Temple after meeting eachother at Utah State University. Who knew that after all that we've been through together and all the years together that we'd be more in love that we ever have been before? We decided to get away this year, so we left the kids with our friends overnight and we went to Galveston to enjoy the beach!! We had such a great time taking long walks (and runs) on the beach, eating out and just enjoying each others company in the car.

We went to the local Wal Mart to pick us up some beach supplies. This Walmart was filled with all your beach necessities. We shopped for a boogie board for our plans of body surfing! The waves were great this weekend so it was perfect.

We ate at the Rainforest Cafe which I have never been to before, but it was one of my favorite parts of the whole weekend! It was such a cool experience just to eat there with all the fish tanks and the animals. The animals weren't real but every 10 minutes or so they would all come to life and make noises and swing from trees and shake branches. It was amazing!

They had great food too.

This is a bad picture but this is the inside of the restaurant. It was like eating in a rainforest! Well duh. Hence the name.

After lunch we treated ourselves to a few drinks at the bar and sat on these funny stools. Ok we didn't really have any drinks, we just sat on the funny stools cause we're cool like that ok?

Here is the boogie board I picked out. I was so excited because I don't usually get to play in the water since I'm usually on the beach with the kids. And it's not really as fun playing out there by yourself.

I can't wait for another million years with Nate!

6 YEARS DOWN, ETERNITY TO GO

SO...this is a few days late, but better late than never. Nathan and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary on Friday. Can you believe it's been 6 years already?!!! Holy cow, I feel like I just graduated high school. We have been through so much together already in these 6 years and I couldn't imagine doing it with anyone else. I sure did pick out a real winner. Nate always takes such good care of me and makes sure I am happy, which I always am when he's around me. There's nothing better than being married to your best friend. And I know some of these pictures are re runs from last year but eh... you know you liked them.

We rarely take a picture together with just us two, this was us about a year ago when we first bought our house, so not very recent, but we still look the same so just pretend.

Look at the innocence here, We had no clue what our lives were going to be like here. This is us in our pre wedding bliss of googly eyes and mauling each other every chance we got. Things change just a little bit after get married. (I secretly still like mauling him, but I don't think he likes it as much as I do.)

Boy am I a lucky girl.

And here is something that hasn't changed. Oh you want a bigger piece of cake you say? Coming right up!

Take that!

This has been the best 6 years of my life and I'm only expecting it to get better.

ANNIVERSARY DATE

Well since Nate was gone on our actual anniversary we spent the weekend together. First we went out to Breakfast to the Cracker Barrel. Thanks to Brystal it wasn't the best time I've ever had out to eat. So then we went down to the Museum industry in Houston and I decided I wanted to go to the Health Museum. Well, it was a little disappointing since there wasn't too much there to look at. But we looked around inside the human body, and got to see a cow's eyeball dissected. So here is Nate and Brystal standing at the entrance into the Human body.

Here is Brystal and I inside of the mouth. If you can't tell we are sitting on teeth.

After a long day at the museum we walked around the beautiful park across the street with pretty lakes and trails, and took a little resting break and watched the people walk by. Brystal took a little snooze. Then we had dinner at a wedding reception. Pretty glamorous huh? Ya we're cheap ok. Don't judge us.

MAY 1ST 2003

5 years ago today we were married in the Bountiful Utah Temple. I can't even believe it has been this long. We have been through so much together. I feel like I am more in love with Nathan now than I was 5 years ago. Now if someone would have told me that back then I would have thought they were lying, but it is true. My love grows more and more everyday. We have had quite a journey together, and I wouldn't have wanted to do it with anyone else but him. I have the song Come What May, on here it was sung at our reception by my cousins, and I love it. And the song At the beginning was on our wedding video. They are special songs to me.

Let's just get a recap on how we met... We met at Utah State University in our singles ward. We actually met at our first Family Home Evening, where we played the typical Elbow Tag. I asked Nate what brought him from Texas to here, and his response? "To meet girls named Kacie". Now of course this is totally cheesy now, but at the time, I was a giddy little freshman girl who didn't know any better because for all I cared, a returned missionary was actually flirting with me, a huge step from my high school peers. From then on, we just kept running into eachother, and I had a huge crush on him. Then he finally told me he liked me and we were never separated (except for Christmas break when he went back home to Texas). And it has been bliss ever since. This is just a short version of how we met by the way, I don't have time for the long version.

The Blushing Bride.

Doesn't get much hotter than this, does it? Hubba hubba!

So young and naive. We didn't know anything back then. Only that we were in love.

Here I was getting the cake ready to shove in his face when he strangely asked for a bigger piece and opened up his mouth really wide...ok then, I said....

That's what you get!

My Hero.
