BRYSTAL'S BIG DAY AND SOME FACE PAINTING

Today I took Brystal to Nursery!! She turns 18 months next month, but they said I could bring her in early, with me being in the Relief Society and Nate in the Elder's Quorum, we were so busy on Sundays and church was just getting really hard. She had a blast, she walked right in and just started playing with the toys and didn't even look twice at me. I tried to stay for a little while, but she obviously didn't need me, so I just thought, ok then, I guess I'll go, and she was fine. She loved it. I hope she'll continue to like it. I came home from church in such a good mood today, I wondered why for a minute then I remembered, I didn't have to wrestle a little girl today. FINALLY!

Do you notice a resemblence between these 2? Brystal somehow got ahold of a pen while under the care of her dad and drew on her face. It is a little hard to see but it is pretty much identical to Harry Potter's scar. I guess it could have been worse.

E I E I O!

All I have to say about this video is that it is so hilarious. This is Brystal at her best. Here she is singing the Old MacDonald song. And don't forget to stay for the end with her exit.

IT'S A.....

Well in case you are all wondering how big is Kacie, today is your lucky day. Actually it was my lucky day since all my maternity clothes are summer clothes, it got really cold today and I didn't know what pants to wear since maternity pants are too big for me. So to my luck I remembered that I had bought some fat pants for myself just after I had Brystal. I slipped those babies right on like a glove. No more squeezing my guts out with normal pants and no more pants falling down with maternity pants. Where was I. Oh yes it's your lucky day today because I am going to grace you with a picture of myself and the new baby. I have not been as good to document myself with this baby as I did with Brystal. Anyways, in case you are wondering what I look like at 18 weeks pregnant, here it is.

Unfortunately I am much fatter this time than I was with Brystal. Why oh why. I still have more than half way to go, which just means I am going to be bigger. A little depressing, but I guess it comes with the baby making business. Oh and in case you haven't guess by now with the blue writing, we found out it's a BOY!!! Last weeks u/s we weren't supposed to find out, but I asked the girl if she could see anything and sure enough, there IT was, you know what I'm talking about. We said, are you sure it's a boy? And the u/s girl said, "I sure hope that's not a girl, or your gonna have some problems" So I guess it's official. I've been adjusting to the idea of having a boy this last week, and I'm getting more excited. I don't know what I"m going to do with one after doing all girl stuff. it will be different I'm sure. No more bows and pink for me. I gotta start learning to like trucks and dinosaurs I guess. I know that Brystal will be a good influence on him and teach him to be neat and tidy, and I'm pretty confident that he will be cute too.

GRUMPOPOTAMUS

I took Brystal to Old MacDonald's Farm yesterday. Well lets just say it could have been funner. Brystal has been a bit on the grouchy side this week. I don't know if it has something to do with daylight savings and her missing her morning naps, or if she is teething, or if she has suddenly gone crazy, but it's been a rough week. She barely even noticed the animals and just walked around whining most of the time. But some parts I think she enjoyed. I always love to see a smile on her face.

On the ground pouting.

Here she is in the goat pen. Little baby goats all around her and she barely even noticed them. I did after one almost pushed me down.

All that grumpiness must have attracted the boys to her. Her little friend Lucas saw her being grumpy and took matters into his own hands by taking Brystal's hand and taking her for a little stroll. I think she liked it, at least she wasn't being grumpy when he was holding her hand. Thanks Lucas for cheering her up.

Here is a sample of how the day was. Isn't she a ray of sunshine?

WHERE IS BRYSTAL?

Lately, I've been finding Brystal in some very different places than normal. Luckily nothing destructive has happened yet, but when all gets quiet, I can't find her in all the normal places.
She is starting to figure out her world and use her imagination more.

Here she is with her Daddy reading books when she is supposed to be in bed. Now this one is not her fault, Nathan gets home from work late and goes in to check on her and on more than one occasion, I find them upstairs playing when she is supposed to be asleep. I do like to see that she loves her Daddy and that he loves to spend time with her no matter how late it is.

Here I found her in the laundry room under the stairs where Sophie sleeps. She found herself a nice cozy place to sit down and read a book, right in Sophie's bed.

Here she is again, the next day only this time, she took her baby with her, they were saying "whoa!" as she tipped backwards out of Sophie's bed, then she'd do it again.

And here she has figured out how to climb in the bathtub by herself. She was having the time of her life in the tub playing with her bath tub animals and bath crayons. She came out kinda wet and had drawn crayons on her pants after this one. But no harm done...yet.

Where will we find Brystal next?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE AND A ROCKETS GAME!

I know this is late but March 2 was Nate's Birthday. He is 28 now, man he's getting old. Anyways, I started off the morning by attempting to make pancakes. Now I'm not a bad cook, but if there is one thing I'm not good at making, it's pancakes. Don't ask me why but I can count on one hand how many successful pancakes I've made. Their either too thick, too doughy or just plain gross. So I'm making pancakes and I'm so nervous that they won't turn out. What a way to start out a birthday, messed up pancakes. But by a miracle my prayers were answered and Nate had some delicious pancakes for breakfast.

When he got home from work we went to dinner to the Texas Roadhouse with Nate's parents. It was very tasty of course and I didn't have to do any fancy cooking. But then we went home for birthday rice krispy treats. Now if there is something you shouldn't be able to mess up on, it's these, and guess what? They were so hard and crunchy, I was so ashamed of myself. How could I mess up the birthday rice krispies? At least the pancakes were good.

For Nate's Birthday present, I gave him Rockets tickets. So that weekend we enjoyed a basketball game together. Now you may have seen me standing by this Yao Ming before, but I thought I'd do it again, because it's fun, ok?

And Nate next to Tracy McGrady.

And here is my hand and foot next to Yao's hand and foot. The guy wears a size 18! Anyways, it was a great game and Yao wasn't hurt this year so we got to see him play we were so excited! Not to mention they played Pheonix so we got to see him play against Shaquil O'Neil! The 2 biggest guys on the earth playing basketball together. It was like seeing a celebrity in the nose bleed section. They even looked big from up there.
